Four held for cannabis use at DU hall rooftop

Dhaka University's Mobile Proctorial Team detained four people-two students and two outsiders-early Friday for smoking cannabis on the rooftop of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall.

The incident occurred around 2:00am on the south block rooftop of the hall. The detained students were Abdullah Al Noman and Tanbin Ahmed (also known as Ahmed Anim) of Bijoy Ekattor Hall, while the outsiders were identified as Samiul and Rakib.

According to hall authorities, student leaders responded to reports of drug use and found the group smoking cannabis, after which the proctorial team was informed. Cannabis, tobacco leaves and smoking equipment were recovered from the scene.
