The holy Shab-e-Meraj will be observed across the country on Friday night with due religious reverence and devotion.

Muslims observe Shab-e-Meraj every year on the 26th night of the Arabic month of Rajab, commemorating the miraculous night journey of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

According to Islamic belief, on this sacred night the Prophet (PBUH) undertook a special journey on the "Buraq" to heavens, where Almighty Allah bestowed upon him divine guidance, including instructions regarding daily prayers for the Muslims.

On the occasion, Muslim devotees will offer special prayers at mosques and at home, seeking blessings of Allah for peace, prosperity and the welfare of the nation as well as the Muslim Ummah.
