Nagorik Oikya President Mahmudur Rahman Manna has been hospitalised after experiencing chest pain.

The party’s central committee member A. Razzak Talukder Sajib confirmed the matter to media.

Manna was admitted to Bangladesh Medical University Hospital in the capital on Friday night as he suddenly felt chest pain.

''The doctors have conducted several tests. The ECG report came back normal, but the troponin level was not good,''Razzak Talukder said.

''You can call it a semi-heart attack. However, he is now out of danger.''
He added, doctors have advised that Manna remain under observation in the hospital for at least two days.

Earlier in September 2024, Manna was hospitalised after suffering a heart attack.
