Bar Council election postponed

The Bangladesh Bar Council election has been suspended due to rapid surge in Covid-19 pandemic.
The decision on the postponement of the election scheduled for May 25, was made unanimously at a meeting of the Bar Council, said its chairman AM Amin Uddin, also the country's chief law officer in his Facebook status.
Bar Council secretary Md Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter to the media on Saturday.
He said the election was postponed for the time being until the further notice.
