2 killed in triangular collision among three buses

Two people were killed and at least 12 injured in a triangular collision among three buses on Dhaka-Sylhet highway in Osmaninagar upazila of Sylhet district on Saturday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Quoting locals, police said, the accident occurred around 6:30AM when the three vehicles including Sylhet-bound 'Shyamoli Paribahan' bus hit the Dhaka-bound buses of 'Ena Paribahan' and 'Unique Paribahan' coming from opposite direction, leaving two dead on the spot and ten others injured.

Receiving information, police and Fire Service rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies.

The injured were admitted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital.

Following the accident, vehicular movement on the highway remained halted for three hours.
