Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) celebrated ‘World One Health Day-2025’ with the help of One Health Institute on Sunday.
One Health Institute Director Professor Dr Md Ahsanul Haque presided over the program and Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Mohammad Lutfur Rahman attended as the chief guest.
Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Mohammad Lutfur Rahman led a colourful procession with the university’s teachers, officials, students and employees.
The ceremony was held at the university’s administrative building premises.
Earlier, various programs were organised throughout the week to mark the day, including a basic computer training program, One Health Quiz competition, a thematic drawing competition for children and free health check-ups and vaccination of pets.
VC Professor Dr Mohammad Lutfur Rahman vowed to aim to build a healthy and strong Bangladesh for future generations, just like the ancestors.
He also warns about the danger and its effects on climate change and urges everyone to work together to mitigate and adapt to these impacts to ensure a healthy and beautiful Bangladesh.
External Activities Director Professor Dr AKM Saifuddin, Student Welfare Director Professor Dr Mohammad Rashedul Alam and Bangladesh Institute of Tropical Infectious Diseases Assistant Professor Dr Rumana Rashid were present, among others.
