Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-7) has arrested a drug paddler named with 1.5 lakh pieces of Yaba from Patenga police station area of Chattogram city.
He was arrested in Kathgarh Dhumpara area under Patenga police station around 10 AM on Thursday.
The arrested has been identified as Md. Nasir, alias Nasim, 50, son of Md. Abul Kalam, a resident of Purba Kathgarh area under Patenga police station in the district.
Bangladesh Police Crime Data Management System revealed that the accused has two cases against him in Patenga police station of Chittagong city under the Narcotics and Special Powers Act.
RAB-7 Senior Assistant Director (Media) ARM Mozaffar Hossain said that the estimated value of the recovered Yaba tablets is Tk 4.5 crore.
Legal action has been taken against the arrested accused, and he has been handed over to the concerned police station, he added.
