In the past 24 hours, three people have died from dengue, while 411 new patients were admitted to hospitals, the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported on Thursday.
With these deaths, the total number of dengue-related fatalities this year has reached 404, while the total number of infected individuals stands at 99,493.
Of the three recent deaths, two were residents of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and one was from outside the city corporation areas in Dhaka division.
The distribution of new dengue cases in the last 24 hours is as follows: Barishal division (outside city areas) 50, Dhaka division 61, Dhaka North City Corporation 56, Dhaka South City Corporation 99, Chattogram division 70, Khulna division 26, Mymensingh division 20, Rajshahi division 21, Rangpur division 2 and Sylhet division 6.
Among the new cases, 66.9% were men and 33.1% were women.
Meanwhile, 464 patients were discharged from hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recoveries this year to 97,253.
