More than 20 lakh Bangladeshis have registered on the Overseas Employment Platform (OEP) to seek jobs abroad since its launch, marking a significant step toward safe and transparent labour migration.
According to official data, a total of 20,65,399 job seekers have enrolled on the platform as of Thursday, while 11,97,943 overseas job opportunities have been recorded so far. A total of 650 recruiting agencies have registered with the government portal, and authorities have verified 4,238 overseas employers.
The OEP has also streamlined the immigration clearance process, with 17,72,840 aspirants applying for clearance through the platform and 6,85,282 applications approved to date. Additionally, 10,94,301 individuals enrolled for training at the BMET. "BSS
