'Meet the Young Leaders' event held in Feni

FENI, Jan 29: Feni hosted a day-long 'Meet the Young Leaders' event on Wednesday at the Bhasha Shahid Salam Community Centre, organised by Feni district Jubo Dal Convener Nasir Uddin Khondkar.

The programme aimed to inspire young leaders, promote merit-based politics, and encourage active participation in student and youth leadership.

The event featured essay presentations, documentary screenings, youth idea-sharing sessions, cultural performances, quizzes, and a raffle draw.

Professor Hasan Uddin of Patuakhali Science and Technology University delivered the keynote essay, highlighting the importance of merit-based politics and leadership strategies.

Nearly 70 young leaders from 30 educational institutions across the district participated.

Attendees raised questions on leadership development, organisational skills, and voting procedures, which were addressed by Professor Hasan.

Other participants included Tanjidul Miazi and Noman from Chhagalnaiya College, and Ali Akkas from Chhagalnaiya Islamia Madrasa.

Speakers emphasised bridging past and present political experiences and the importance of knowledge and merit in leadership. Key guests included district BNP Member Secretary Alal Uddin Alal, Feni Sadar Upazila, and the others.

The programme was moderated by Feni district Chhatra Dal General Secretary Morshed Alam Milan, with organisational support from Joint Secretary Rashid Ahmad Majumdar.
