President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, has conveyed his deepest condolences to President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus following the death of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
In a condolence message, President Tebboune expressed profound sorrow at the passing of Begum Khaleda Zia, recalling her significant contributions to Bangladesh’s democratic journey and her steadfast commitment to the welfare of her people.
He said her leadership and dedication would be remembered with respect and admiration, noting that she played an important role in strengthening bilateral relations between Algeria and Bangladesh during her tenure as prime minister.
The Algerian President extended heartfelt sympathies to the government and people of Bangladesh, as well as to the bereaved family members and supporters of Begum Khaleda Zia.
He also prayed for her eternal peace and for strength and solace for the nation at this time of grief.
