Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS) has announced a reduce in gold prices, with the rate per bhori cut by up to Tk 2,508.
According to BAJUS the new price will be effective from Tuesday.
Under the new rates, the price of 22-carat gold stands at Tk 2,26,923 per bhori, 21-carat at Tk 2,16,600, 18-carat at Tk 1,85,691 and traditional gold at Tk 1,54,723 per bhori.
BAJUS also stated that the new prices have been adjusted in line with global gold rates.
Earlier, the association cited the international market surge, where gold prices have reached $4,500 per ounce.
Silver prices have also been the same. A bhori of 22-carat silver now costs Tk 6,065, 21-carat at Tk 5,744, 18-carat at Tk 4,957 and traditional silver at Tk 3,732.
