One injured as two cocktails blast near Pallabi Police Station

Two cocktail were reportedly thrown near the Pallabi Police Station in the capital on Wednesday evening, leaving one person injured.

According to police sources, the incident took place around 8:30 PM when unidentified miscreants hurled two cocktail consecutively near the police station. A motorcyclist passing by at the time sustained injuries in the blasts.

The occurrence of the grenade explosions was confirmed by the Duty Officer of Pallabi Police Station, Sub-Inspector (SI) Asad. “The explosions took place right across from our police station,” he said.

When asked how many explosions occurred, he replied, “I can’t confirm the exact number, as I was inside the station at the time.” On the question of whether anyone was injured, he added, “I cannot provide any details at the moment.”

Authorities are investigating the incident and the injured motorcyclist has been taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police have yet to release details about the suspects or possible motives behind the attack.
