One held with 4 crude bombs at Dhanmondi

Police arrested one person along with four crude bombs, commonly known as cocktails, from Jigatola area of Dhaka’s Dhanmondi on Wednesday night.

The arrested individual is Yasin, a resident of Pirojpur district, confirmed Assistant Commissioner (AC) Shah Mostafa Tariquzzaman of Dhanmondi Zone.

The explosives were seized around 8:30 PM and Bomb Disposal Unit has been called to defuse them safely, the AC said.

Legal proceedings against the detainee are currently underway, added the AC.
