11-foot python rescued at Kaptai

KAPTAI, RANGAMATI, Dec 27: An 11-foot long python was rescued at Kaptai National Park in the district on Sunday morning.
Later on, South Forest Department Kaptai Range Authority released the snake in the deep forest of the park at around 11:30 am.
It was known that 10 RE Battalion army camp soldiers caught the snake when it came to eat goats in a goat farm in the army camp area. Being informed, the Forest Department came and rescued the snake.
Forest Department Kaptai Range Officer Abu Sufian said the length of the python was 11-foot long and its weight was about 20 kg.
