PIROJPUR, Dec 23: Jatiya Sangshad (JS) election campaign gets momentum in the districts Nazirpur-Indurkani Constituency (Pirojpur-1).
Door-to-door campaign, courtyard meeting, opinion-sharing meeting, massive public relation, social media campaign, rally, procession, street corner meeting, and haat-bazaar campaign are going on in a festive manner.
Election campaigning included mike-based vote seeking, banner-festoon hanging, posturing, and leaflet distribution.
Four candidates are contesting. They are: AL candidate Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim, MP, (Boat symbol), District AL President and Independent candidate AKMA Awal (Eagle), former MP of JP (Earshad) candidate Alhaj Md Nazrul Islam (Plough) and Trinomul BNPs Md Year Hossain (Golden Fibre).
AL candidates chief election agent Sikder Md Chan said, "We are making campaign in line with central committees direction. Polling agent selection and orientation, code of conduct of the Election Commission (EC) are going on."
AL Organizing Secretary Sheikh Feroz Ahmed said, "In favour of Independent candidate AKMA Awal, all election measures have been taken as per the EC requirement. Field level massive campaign is going on. We see huge supports and eagerness, among voters."
"We firmly believe we will win," he added.
JPs Md Nazrul Islams campaign is not much visible. He is contesting from the seat for the second time.
Trinomul BNPs Md Year Hossain (Golden Fiber) is less known. He has not started his campaign yet.
District Election Officer Md Mizanur Rahman said, "From returning offices side, assigned judicial officials are keeping watch on the situation. We hope peaceful election to be conducted in the district as auxiliary forces are assisting returning officer."
