Ballot papers to be sent to stations on polls day morning: EC

Ballot papers will be sent to the polling stations,  except the remote and hard-to-reach areas,  throughout the country on the morning of the polling day, the Election Commission (EC) informed returning officers in a notification issued on Monday.

The EC said, Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNO) and Assistant Returning Officers will fix the time of sending ballot papers on the morning of the polling day to polling stations located in hilly areas, haor, bawor, char or island areas or other  hard-to-reach areas and remote areas in consultation with local police authorities.
