Missing Savar child rescued in Jamalpur


A child, who went missing from Ashulia in Savar, on the outskirts of Dhaka, was recovered from Sarishabari upazila in Jamalpur district.

Ashulia Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Sheikh Rezaul Haque Dipu confirmed the matter on Tuesday afternoon.

One Nasima, 42, tactfully stole the child Mostakim from Ashulia Alia Madrasa area on August 31.

The parents of missing child filed a written complaint in this regard.

Dhaka district North DB and Ashulia Police jointly conducted a drive and rescued the missing child at early hours of Tuesday.

Sheikh Rezaul Haque Dipu said the child lifter was arrested and the rescued child was handed over to the parents.

Nasima was sent to jail on Tuesday afternoon following a court order after filing of a case.
