PM walks to Osmani auditorium from Secretariat

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has walked from the Secretariat to Osmani Memorial Auditoriumto attend the Ekushey Padak award ceremony.

At around 10:15AM on Thursday, the Prime Minister left building no.1 of the Secretariat through gate no. 5 and proceeded on foot past the Transport Pool building toward the auditorium.Although he walked to the venue, a convoy of vehicles followed slowly behind him.

Members of the Special Security Force (SSF), the President Guard Regiment (PGR) and other law enforcement agencies were deployed around him to ensure security.

Earlier at 9:04AM, the Prime Minister arrived at the Secretariat and joined a cabinet meeting. Following the meeting, he was scheduled to attend the programme at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium, where the Ekushey Padak award ceremony was set to be held.
