
Gold prices in the domestic market have reached an unprecedented high, keeping pace with the international market.
Just within 48 hours, the price of high-quality gold has increased by more than Tk 23,000 per bhori. The price of 22-carat gold now stands at Tk 285,999 per bhori, which is the highest in the country's history.
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) disclosed this information through a press release on Thursday (January 29).
It stated that the price of refined gold (pure gold) has increased in the local market. As a result, considering the overall situation, new gold prices have been set.
Earlier on Wednesday, the price of one bhori of high-quality gold was increased by Tk 7,348, bringing the price to Tk 269,788 per bhori. After setting this record price, the price has been increased once again, breaking all previous records.
