Ansar emerged champions in the senior division, while BKSP topped the junior category at the 22nd National Senior and Junior Taekwondo Competition 2025-26, which concluded in a festive atmosphere at the Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium in Dhaka on Saturday.
Organised by the Bangladesh Taekwondo Federation, the competition brought together around 500 senior and junior athletes from clubs and organisations representing 30 districts. The event showcased a high standard of skill, discipline and competitive spirit, drawing appreciation from spectators and dignitaries alike.
In the senior men's and women's combined category, Ansar dominated the medal table with 28 gold, six silver and one bronze to secure the overall title. Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) finished runners-up with 12 medals, while BKSP claimed third place with an identical medal tally.
In the junior section, BKSP asserted their supremacy, winning the group championship with 16 gold and one silver medal. Cox's Bazar district finished as first runners-up, while Rajshahi University placed third.
The closing and prize-giving ceremony was graced by Mahbub-ul-Alam, Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, as chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he highlighted taekwondo's role in building discipline, confidence and moral strength, expressing optimism about Bangladesh's future success on the international stage.
