Standard Chartered Bangladesh and Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital (IIEI&H) have partnered to set up 71 comprehensive Eye Health Camps for adult beneficiaries and 1,667 Student Sight Testing Programmes (SSTP) for school-going children, says a press release.
The initiative will reach 10,000 adults in Dhaka city and 250,000 students in Naogaon, Jamalpur, Barishal, Borguna and Moulvibazar.
The initiative will also support the transportation of surgery patients and provide beneficiaries with eyewear, optics, and essential medicine.
Standard Chartered and Ispahani Islamia Eye Institute and Hospital have been working together for more than 20 years to prevent avoidable blindness.
