A total of 60 rounds of rubber bullets were recovered in an abandoned condition from a mango orchard at Sayergachha area of Rajshahi city on Tuesday afternoon.
The rubber bullets were found in a bag at around 2:30pm from the area.
Sabina Yeasmin, additional deputy commissioner (Media) at Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP), said a police patrol party of Kasiadanga Police Station found a suspicious bag and recovered 60 rubber bullets from the bag.
She said that the bullets were looted from Kasiadanga Police Station on August 5 last.
Yeasmin said the miscreants looted 164 firearms from different police stations, outposts and boxes of RMP during the anti-discrimination student movement.
So far, 146 of those were recovered, she added.
RMP Commissioner Muhammad Abu Sufian urged the city dwellers to extend their cooperation for recovering the rest of the firearms.
He said the RMP and joint forces will continue drives to recover the rest of the firearms.
