Code Samurai Inter-univ Hackathon 24 begins at DU

Two-day long Code Samurai Interuniversity Hackathon 2024 began at Dhaka University (DU) on Friday.

Daffodil University Vice-Chancellor Prof M Lutfar Rahman inaugurated the Hackathon in the auditorium of DU Computer Science and Engineering Department at 9:00am.
Some 46 teams of CSE students of 27 different universities qualified for final contest, said a press release issued yesterday.

There were two selection phases for this Hackathon whereas the primary selection and the secondary one took place on February 9 and March 23 respectively.

Dhaka University, Bangladesh Japan IT (BJIT) and GlobalGeeks jointly organized the event.

DU Engineering and Technology Faculty Dean Prof Hafiz Md Hasan Babu presided over the inaugural session.

The Hackathon will continue for 24 hours, ending at 11:00am on Saturday, said the press release.

Closing session and prize giving ceremony of the Hackathon will be held today at DU Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building.
