Two siblings drowned in a pond in Bhola's Charfesson upazila on Saturday.
The accident took place around 12 pm at Bhasanchar village under Rasulpur union of the upazila.
The deceased were Bayezid, 6, and Maria, 4, children of Rasel, residents of that village.
Shashibhushan Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Anamul Haque confirmed it.
He said the two children were playing in the yard of the house. At one point, they drowned in two ponds. Later, the locals rescued them and brought to hospital where the doctors declared both of them dead.
