PM condemns terrorist attack in Moscow

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that took place at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow killing over 130 people.

In a letter sent to Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Bangladesh Premier strongly condemned the cowardly and senseless terrorist attack which occurred at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow on March 22, 2024.

"I am greatly shocked and resentful at the loss of so many innocent lives," she said, adding, "I would like to offer my prayers for the salvation of the departed souls of the victims and extend my heartfelt condolences to their families."

Sheikh Hasina also prayed and hoped for the early recovery of those, who have been injured in the attack.

Mentioning that such an act of terrorism is an attack on the whole human civilization and its values, the Prime Minister wrote that "On behalf of the people of Bangladesh, I express our solidarity with the friendly people of Russia and would like to assure you that in this difficult time, we stand by the side of Russia."

She continued "My government has always followed the principle of zero tolerance against all kinds of terrorism and I look forward to further strengthening our bilateral cooperation for combating such heinous terrorism."

Sheikh Hasina ended extending the assurances of her highest consideration.    —BSS
