Police recovered the decomposed body of an unidentified woman from a hilly area at Lohagara upazila in Chattogram district on Thursday.
Locals spotted the body of a woman wearing black burqa at Adhunagar Rashida Ghona Kulpagli area in the upazila on Thursday afternoon and informed police.
Being informed, police recovered the body with no injury mark, said Rashedul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Lohagara Police Station.
Later, the body was sent to Chattogram Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy, he added.
Efforts are on to find the identity of the woman and unearth the mystery of the murder.
Process to file a case over the incident is underway, added the OC.
