BGB man among two killed in Netrakona road accident
Two people, including a BGB man, were killed and two others injured in a road accident at Sadar upazila in Netrakona district on Tuesday night.
The accident took place at Jaushi area under Challisha union of the upazila at around 10 pm.
One of the deceased was identified as Sumon Chauhan, a member of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Rangpur Branch, a resident of Dak Banglo area in Barhatta upazila parishad under the district.
Quoting locals, Netrakona Model Police Station officer-in-charge Khandakar Shaker Ahmed said a Dhaka-bound covered van from Netrakona smashed a CNG-run auto-rickshaw from opposite direction, leaving two dead on the spot and two others injured.
The injured were sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
Being informed, police rushed there and recovered the bodies and legal steps are under process in this regard, the OC added.
