An Italy returnee, a resident of Cumilla’s Daudkandi upazila, was detained from Sonargaon upazila of Narayanganj on Tuesday morning.
Jagannath, 37, was arrested from Mograpara’s Bhoirbadi village where he went to visit his relative's house.
Locals forbade him to walk around in the area as he recently returned from Italy. But ignoring that he was roaming around there for the last two-three days.
Later, locals surrounded the house Jagannath is staying and informed police.
Being informed, a police team detained him.
Sonargaon Police Station officer in-charge Maniruzzaman confirmed the matter, adding that Jagannath was sent to Dhaka for medical test.
