DINAJPUR, Apr 25: Two persons allegedly committed suicide and one got electrocuted in Sadar upazila here on Saturday.
Early on Saturday, Sufia Begum, 35, daughter of Jahurul Islam of Dinajpur Upashahar No. 5 Block hanged herself from the ceiling of the room. On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
The body was handed over to the relatives on Saturday noon.
On the other hand, Abu Bakar, 65, son of Sher Mondal of Chhoto Ramchandrapur village under Sadar upazila took poison on Saturday noon following family feud.
He was rushed to the hospital where on duty doctor declared him dead.
The body was handed over to the relatives after an autopsy in the afternoon.
In another incident, Shafikur Rahman, 35, son of Habibur Rahman of Muradpur village in the upazila, was trying to start his electric pump when he got electrocuted and was seriously injured.
He was immediately rushed to the same hospital but died there under treatment in the afternoon.
The body was handed over to the family members after an autopsy.
Separate cases were filed with Kotwali Police Station following the incidents.
