Jamalpur: A case was filed against one named Ruhul Amin Talukder, 45,  for making derogatory comment about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on social networking site Facebook on Tuesday.

Sanowar Hossain, a local Awami League leader, filed the case with Shorishabari thana under Information and Communication Technology (Amendment) Act.

However, police arrested Mohammad Zinnah and Shamim Miah, two brothers of Ruhul Amin, for interrogation as the accused went into hiding.

Sanwar Hossain said Ruhul Amin made offensive status on his facebook timeline about the premier as she did not go to stadium to watch the Asia Cup final match.

His comment was very indecent, so I filed the case under section 57/1 of ICT Act, the AL leader added.

Mohammad Billal Uddin, officer-in-charge of Shorishabari thana, confirmed the matter.
