Dhaka University (DU) has postponed the admission test for its Home Economics Unit by one day, officials announced on Monday, April 7.
The examination, originally planned for May 2, will now take place on May 3 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
"For the information of all applicants to the Home Economics Unit, the admission test scheduled for May 2 (Friday) will now be held on May 3 (Saturday) due to unavoidable circumstances," stated the official notice published on university's admission website.
The announcement affects thousands of prospective students applying for the 2024-25 academic year at Bangladesh's premier university. The one-hour examination remains a crucial hurdle for admission seekers hoping to secure a place in this competitive department.
In a related development, applications for Technology Unit closed on April 7.
The university has also rescheduled this unit's admission test, moving it from the initially planned date of April 26 to May 17. Technology Unit examination will last 90 minutes, running from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM and will be conducted exclusively in Dhaka.
