Three women among 4 held with hemp in Barishal

Police in a driver arrested four, including three women, along with 10 kilograms of hemp from Barishal city on Friday afternoon.

The arrested are Moshrafa Begum, 35, hailed from Baraitola area under Cox's Bazar's Chakaria upazila, Shimu Begum, 35, of Mirjapur under Chattogram's Hathazari upazila, Samia Akter, 16, of Eastern Bazar in Dhaka's Keraniganj, and Abul Hossain, 23, of Baro Dhupia area under Brahmanpara Police Station in Cumilla.
Barishal Kotwali Model Police Station officer-in-charge ATM Arichul Haque said on information, a team of police, led by Assistant Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Nafisur Rahman, conducted a raid in C&B area of the city and arrested the four along with the drugs.

Legal actions will be taken in this regard, added the OC.
