Woman killed in Sherpur road accident

An elderly woman was killed as a battery-operated easy bike hit her at Nakla upazila in Sherpur district on Sunday night.

The deceased was identified as Fatema Khatun, 70.
Confirming the matter, Nakla Police Station officer-in-charge M Abdul Kadir said the accident took place at Garergaon more at around 9pm and victim Fatema was died on the way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.

Police seized the bike from the spot but its driver managed to flee, added the OC.
