Students distribute drinking water in Jamalpur

JAMALPUR, May 4: College students distributed pure drinking water for floating people in Railway Station area in the district to quench their thirst amid scorching heat on Thursday.

Students of Botany Department of Government Ashek Mahmud College arranged the programme at their own initiative.

They offered sweet drinking water, mixed with lemon juice and sugar from 12pm to 2 pm.
A good number of pedestrians and working class people quenched their thirst.

Team members Mehnaz, Tapu and Mahim said, "All of us should come forward to stand beside people in any disaster."
