Two houses burnt at Daulatpur

DAULATPUR, KUSHTIA, May 3: Two houses were burnt in separate incidents in Daulatpur Upazila of the district on Wednesday.
The incidents took place in Katkhola Para and Bairagirchar areas under Maricha Union of the upazila at noon.
It was known that at around 2 pm, fire began at the kitchen of a house of Keru Bhakkar in Hatkhola Para, and it soon engulfed the whole house. The affected claimed properties and goods worth about Tk 5 lakh were completely destroyed due to the fire.
Meanwhile, in another incident, the house of Abdur Razzak in Bairagirchar Village was gutted by the fire. Properties worth about Tk 3 lakh were completely burnt down, the affected claimed.
