Rohingya youth hacked dead in Ukhiya


A Rohingya youth was hacked to death reportedly by a group of miscreants at Ukhiya upazila in Cox's Bazar district on Tuesday evening.

A group of miscreants hacked Sayedul Alam, 45, son of Ashraf Ali; to death around 6pm on Tuesday.
Quoting locals, police said the miscreants group brought out an attack to Sayedul at W/D in camp no-2, while he was returning home, leaving him dead on the spot.

Ukhiya Police Station Shamim Hossain confirmed the matter adding that they have assumed that the killing might have took place over establishing supremacy but the actual reason behind the incident could not be known yet.

Efforts are on to identify the involved persons and legal actions will be taken later, added the OC.
