Railway worker crushed under train while taking over phone
A worker of Bangladesh Railway was crushed under the wheels of a train at Patgram upazila in Lalmonirhat district on Saturday while taking over his mobile phone.
The incident happened around 11:30 am in Ghunti area.
Deceased Abdur Razzaque, 30, worked as a loader at Bangladesh Railway. He hailed from Rangpur district.
Quoting locals, Lalmonirhat Railway Police Station officer-in-charge Ferdous Ali said a train ran him over while Razzaque was taking over his mobile phone, leaving him dead on the spot.
Processes were underway to take legal steps in this regard, the OC added.
