Shariful Islam, the public relations officer (PRO) of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB), stated on Friday that the BGP members surrendered to the Coast Guard (CG) personnel in the Naf River after crossing into Bangladeshi territory.

Subsequently, the Coast Guard transferred them to the BGB-11 battalion stationed in Naikhongchhari.

In a separate development, since February 4, a total of 7,330 individuals have fled to Bangladesh from Myanmar. This group includes 302 BGP members, four family members of BGP personnel, two army members, 18 immigration officials, and four civilians. They were officially repatriated on February 15.

The conflicts between the Arakan Army and Myanmars Border Guard Police (BGP) erupted along the border in Naikhongchhari on February 2.
