'FICCI Leader’s Talk Series' held at UIU

The United International University (UIU) and the Foreign Investors' Chamber of Commerce & Industries (FICCI) jointly organized a monthly dialogue session between business leaders and university students titled “FICCI Leader’s Talk” recently at UIU Campus.

Ms. Rupali Chowdhury - Managing Director of Berger Paints Bangladesh was present as the chief guest in the program. The chief guest was warmly greeted by Prof. Dr. Md. Abul Kashem Mia, Vice Chancellor, UIU and Prof. Khondaker Abdullah A Mamun, PhD., Director, IRIIC, UIU. The program was moderated by Mr. Nurul Kabir, Executive Director, FICCI.
 Ms. Rupali Chowdhury said that Industry-academia collaboration is needed for Bangladeshi students to compete globally. She also focused on Bangladesh and its young population to be skilled, specially in analytics and SMART tools to compete at the global level. As per her opinion, industries need to play a more engaging role in graduate education with the presence of industry experts in curriculum design to flourish in the era of 4th Industrial Revolution and also to actualise Mission 2041 by the local government. She also discussed her views on empowerment and in terms of gender, focused on equitable treatment to avoid any disharmony between people of different genders in the workplace while illustrating the female painters initiative taken by Berger Paints Bangladesh. The participation of young, vibrant, enthusiastic students from the university who shared their own views and asked different interesting questions related to leadership, economy and entrepreneurship to Ms Chowdhury who gracefully shaded lights on the issues.
