Saturday's weekend may be cancelled in educational instts
The educational institutions across the country may open on Saturday if necessary from next year, said Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel on Tuesday.
He said that the decision may come to adjust the Ramadan holidays as some controversies arise over the matter.
The minister came up with the information at a discussion marking the Independence Day held at International Mother Language Institute today.
He was the chief guest of this programme.
Regarding the school opening issue in Ramadan month, Nowfel said, "As the matter came this year, we will try next year as there are 52 Saturdays."
