CUET holds meeting on Genocide Day

On the occasion of the Genocide Day, commemoration and discussion on Genocide and Great Liberation War was held at Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) on Monday.

The university Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Rafiqul Alam was present as the chief guest at the event.
He said, ''Our students and the present generation should be told the true history of the country's liberation war and freedom struggle. Learning from the sacrifices of the freedom fighters, everyone must work together in the mission of building Bangabandhu's Sonar Bangla and Sheikh Hasina's Smart Bangladesh."

CUET Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Jamal Uddin Ahmed, Dean of Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering Professor Dr Sudeep Kumar Pal, Provost of Shaheed Mohammad Shah Hall and Dean of Faculty of Architecture and Planning Prof Dr Muhammad Rashidul Hasan and SM Harun-ur- were special guests on the occasion.

Professor Dr Sheikh Humayun Karib, Dean and Registrar (Additional Charge) of the Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, gave a welcome speech at the programme presided over by director of Student Welfare Professor Dr Md Rezaul Karim.

Professor Dr Ayesha Akter, Head of Department of Civil Engineering, Professor Dr Abu Sadat Muhammad Sayem, former president of the teachers' association, Md Rubel Mahmud, secretary of the office of the officers' association and Md Abdur Al Hannan, on behalf of the employees also spoke on the occasion.

The program was conducted by Deputy Director (Public Relations) Mohammad Fazlur Rahman and Assistant Registrar (Coordination) Muhammad Rashedul Islam.
