Transcom Group founder late Latifur Rahman's youngest daughter Shahzreh Huq has now filed a murder case against her elder sister and group CEO Simeen Rahman of killing their brother Arshad Waliur Rahman.
Besides Simeen Rahman, 10 more persons have also been made accused in the case.
They are Simeen Rahman's son Zaraif Ayaat Hossain, Eskayef Pharmaceuticals Ltd's manager Dr Murad and director Dr Md Mujahidul Islam, Transcom Group director Kamrul Hasan, law officer Md Fakhruzzaman Bhuiyan, manager KH Md Shahdat Hossain, officers Jahid Hossain and Salina Sultana and group employees Rafiq and Mirazul.
Confirming the matter, DMP Gulshan division deputy commissioner Rifat Rahman said Shahzreh Huq filed the case on March 22 accusing the 11 people.
According to the case statement, Arshad Waliur Rahman died at United Hospital in the capital on June 16 last year. His sister Simeen Rahman strangled him alongwith other accused.
Earlier, Shahzreh Huq filed another case against the elder sister Simeen Rahman and mother Shahnaz Rahman, the group chairman, the alleged embezzlement of shares worth Tk 100 crore and transfer of shares illegally.
Shazreh Huq is a director of Transcom Group, Shahnaz Rahman is the
chairman, while Simeen the CEO, and Zaraif the head of information.
