National Disaster Preparedness Day was observed in Chattogram's Hathazari upazila on Sunday with the theme of ‘Durjog Prostuti te Lorbo, Smart Sonar Bangla Gorbo’.
Hathazari Upazila Administration (Disaster Management unit) organized rally, discussion, painting competition, earthquake and fire drills in collaboration with Fire Service and Civil Defense.
The Upazila Nirbahi Officer ABM Mashiuzzaman presided over the event organized at the Upazila Parishad premises.
At that time, the Upazila Parishad Panel Chairman Nurul Alam Basek, Agriculture Officer Al Mamun Sikder, Hathazari Fire Service Senior Station Officer Abdul Mannan, Engineer Jayshree Dey, Fisheries Extension Officer Mehrun Nesa spoke at the event conducted by Project Implementation Officer Niaz Morshed.
At the end of the event, prizes were distributed among the winners of the drawing competition organized on disaster management.
