A minor girl, who suffered burn injuries in a gas cylinder blast at Bhashanchar Rohingya camp in Noakhali on Saturday, died at Chattogram Medical College and Hospital on Monday, raising the death toll to two from the blast.
The deceased was four-year old Mubassara.
Assistant Sub-inspector Nurul Alam Ashique, in-charge of Chattogram Medical College and Hospital police outpost, said nine people were injured when a gas cylinder exploded at the Rohingya camp in Bhashanchar area Earlier on Saturday.
Of them, seven were taken to Chattogram Medical College and Hospital for treatment where a three-year old Russel succumbed to his injuries on that day.
Director of CMCH Brigadier Shamim Ahsan said five people -- Jobaida, 22, with 25 per cent burn injuries, Rosmina, 5, with 50 per cent, Robi Alam, 5, five per cent, Amena Khatun, 24, eight per cent, and Sohel, 5, received 52 per cent, -- now are undergoing treatment at the hospital.
