155 boys circumcised in Feni

FENI, Feb 22: More than 150 poor children were circumcised free of cost in Sadar Upazila of the district on Wednesday.
 
This religious circumcision was arranged by Shahid Muktijoddha Abul Kashem Bhuiyan Smriti Pathagar on the occasion of Ekushey February and International Mother Language Day.

A total of 155 boys of poor families of Fatehpur, Jahanpur, Rampur, Rastarkhil, Debipur and adjacent villages were circumcised at a Sunnat-e-Khatna Camp set up on Fatehpur Islamia Madrasa ground.
The camp was set up with six experienced doctors and several volunteers.

This Khatna was arranged for the 9th time under the initiative of the librarys President and former union member Abul Bashar Bhuiyan.

At that time, Daily Observer correspondent Muhammad Abu Taher Bhuiyan and Founding President of Fatehpur Islamia Madrasa Mawlana Atikur Rahman Patwari were present.

Among others, Sharshadi Union Juba League General Secretary Kamal Hossain Shourav, Fatehpur Islamia Madrasas Director Hafez Mawlana Monirul Islam, Mujibur Rahman Mojib, social activists Md Shahjahan Ahsan, Shahdat Hossain Suman, and Mohammad Abbas were present.

The circumcised boys were given medicines for one week, Lungi, Gamcha and Genji  as gifts for one week.
