While paying a short visit to the residence of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) President Kazi Salahuddin, the Minister for Youth and Sports Nazmul Hassan, MP, said on Tuesday that there was no legend like Salahuddin in the country.

The Minister came to personally meet the BFF President who returned home from the hospital a few days ago following his recuperation after a coronary bypass surgery.

The Minister remarked, "A long-term relationship like this cannot be spoiled one day over some words," in reference to the unexpected remarks they exchanged last year. We used to go to the stadium to enjoy his (Salahuddin) footwork. There is no Football legend like him here."

He added, "We say things at different times. That way one may get hurt. But the relationship between us was not diminished."
On the day, the two talked about the countrys sports, Football and other things there.

The Sports Minister said that they talked about different issues related to Football.

He said, "We will see to the matters after he (Salahuddin) returns. In the meantime, I asked to submit some papers so that I can try something. The problem is that there is no venue to play matches. The ground at the Bangabandhu Stadium is still unavailable for a long time."

"It is an undeniable fact that Football is the most popular sport in the country. Im going on an inspection at the Bangabandhu Stadium to confirm that the remaining reconstruction works are finished timely. Also, I will try to find a venue for Football matches," the Minister added.

It was just a few weeks earlier when Nazmul, the newly appointed Minister for Youth and Sports, had asked how the BFF president was doing physically. That time he said he would visit the ill man.

Kazi Salahuddin had undergone coronary bypass surgery. He spent almost three weeks in the hospital after being admitted. He is currently recovering at home after leaving the hospital.
