Twenty dengue patients were hospitalised in the country in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning.
Among the new cases, seven were reported in the capital and 13 were outside it.
According
to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), with the new
cases, the total number of cases this year rose to 927.
A total of 14 people have died of the mosquito-borne disease in the first 24 days of 2024.
A total of 132 patients were undergoing treatment at the different hospitals throughout the country, the DGHS data said.
Meanwhile, the country witnessed the record highest 1,705 dengue deaths in 2023 while 281 fatalities reported in 2022.
Additionally,
a total of 3,21,179 patients were admitted at different hospitals
across the country with the viral fever and 3,18,749 were released from
there last year.
