National Awami Party (NAP) President Professor Muzaffar Ahmed was laid to eternal rest with state honour at his village home in Debidwar upazila of Cumilla on Sunday noon.
He was buried at Elahabad after Zohr prayers after the last funeal prayer.
Earlier, the third namaz-e-janaza for Muzaffar was held at Cumilla Town Hall ground at 10.15am where lawmaker AKM Bahauddin Bahar, Cumilla deputy commissioner Md Abul Fazal Mir, superintendent of Cumilla police Sayed Nurul Islam and NAP central leaders were present.
On Saturday, his first and the second namaz-e-janaza were held in Dhaka.
His body was taken to Cumilla on Saturday night, a day after his death.
Muzaffar Ahmed, also a member of the advisory council of the Liberation War-time government in exile, died around 7:49pm on Friday at Apollo Hospital in the capital.
