Street child injured after falling from train roof

KULAURA, MOULVIBAZAR, Mar 18: A street child was seriously injured after falling from the roof of a running train in Kulaura Upazila of the district on Saturday noon.

The incident took place near Longla Station of the upazila at around 12:30 pm.

The identity of the injured child could not be known immediately.

Kulaura Railway Station Master Md Roman Ahmed said the child was travelling on the Chattogram-bound intercity Paharika Express train sitting on its roof. On the way, he fell of the roof of the train near Longla Station at noon, which left him critically injured.

Locals rescued the child and rushed him to Kulaura Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor referred him to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital for better treatment.
